Other

2012 - Siren

In the final year of my undergraduate degree (2012)  I successfully pitched Trinity College Dublin’s Equality Office for funding to produce and co-edit a one-off glossy women’s magazine, Siren. Then Senator Katherine Zappone and the late Dr Ann Louise Gilligan launched the magazine during International Women’s Day celebrations. Minister Zappone said the magazine represented a “new breed of feminism brewing in Ireland”. At the 2012 National Student Media Awards, Jane McDonnell the Co-Founder, Managing Director and Publisher at Gloss Publications (The Gloss) awarded the publication Best Magazine.
